G.2 Upgrading to Identity Manager 4.7

The Identity Manager 4.7 Bundle Edition is available for OES 2018 SP1. Ensure that the Identity Manager 4.5.6 is installed and applied with the latest patches before you upgrade to version 4.7.

Repeat the following steps for the Identity Manager node in each peer cluster of the business continuity cluster:

  1. Before you upgrade to Identity Manager 4.7, save the BCC driver configuration information, then stop the BCC drivers.

  2. Upgrade the Identity Manager node to OES 2018 SP1. For information, see Upgrading to OES 2018 SP1 in the OES 2018 SP1: Installation Guide.

  3. Upgrade the Identity Manager 4.5.6 to Identity Manager 4.7. For information, see Section 5.2.2, Installing and Configuring the Identity Manager Components Used by BCC.

  4. Install the IDM 4.7 plug-ins using iManager. For information, see Section 5.2.3, Installing the Identity Manager Plug-in for iManager.

  5. Start the BCC driver in Identity Manager. If BCC driver does not come up, ensure that the eDirectory is up and running on the Identity Manager node.
