tnameserv - Simple Transient COS Name Server

tnameserv is a simple transient COS Name Server.

SYNOPSIS

tnameserv -ORBPort <port>

DESCRIPTION

The ORB's tnameserv provides the same functionality as the tnameserv bundled with Java 2.

Note: The ORB has extensive support for Naming. This includes a persisent NameService that runs inside the ORB Daemon. The tnameserv executable is being packaged with the ORB for compatability with Java IDL.

OPTIONS

-ORBPort port

Specifies the port on which the tnameserv starts up. Either this port should be set to the default port 2506, or, the clients and servers must properly set the ORBDefaultInitRef ORB property to the given port to access the Name Service from this Name Server.
