85.7 Securing Monitor with SSL Connections to the Monitor Agent

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) ensures secure communication between the Monitor agent and other programs by encrypting the complete communication flow between the programs. By default, SSL is not enabled for the Monitor agent.

For background information about SSL and how to set it up on your system, see Configuring Server Certificates and TLS

To configure the Monitor agent to use SSL:

  1. In the Monitor Agent server console, navigate to Configuration > HTTP > SSL Settings.

  2. Specify the paths to the SSL certificate and key files.

  3. Enter the password required for encrypting the certificate and SSL key in the fields provided and click OK in both the SSL Settings and HTTP Configuration dialog boxes.
