When you log in to GroupWise Messenger, the GroupWise Messenger icon is added to the notification area for Windows and Linux. For Mac, the GroupWise Messenger icon is added to the dock.
Messenger allows you to be logged in to the Messenger client in multiple locations at the same time. For example, you can be logged in to Messenger on your computer in your office, and at the same time be logged in to Messenger on your mobile device. Your conversation history is stored on the device or computer where you had the conversation. (For more information about message history, see Working with Your Personal History.)
On Linux, you can launch multiple instances of GroupWise Messenger on the same workstation. This can be useful if you need to log in to Messenger under separate user accounts at the same time, such as for Help Desk or Customer Support representatives. Use the /multi startup switch to run multiple clients. For more information on startup switches, see Command Line Startup Options.
