31.1 Starting the HA Management Client

  1. On a node in the cluster, become the hacluster user in a terminal window.

  2. If you have not yet set a password for the hacluster user, you need to set one (Heartbeat Clustering Worksheet item 1):

    1. Enter the following command to set a password:

      passwd hacluster

    2. Enter the desired password.

  3. Enter the following command to start the HA Management Client:

    /usr/lib/heartbeat/haclient.py
    HA Management client startup window

  4. Click Login to Cluster, type the password you established in Step 2, then click OK to display the main HA Management Client window.

  5. Make sure that all nodes (Heartbeat Clustering Worksheet item 2) are listed.

  6. Continue with Creating a Cluster Resource Group.
