16.5 Repairing Your Mailbox

Periodic mailbox maintenance keeps GroupWise running smoothly. Occasionally, mailbox maintenance is required to resolve a problem with a mailbox or other GroupWise database.

The GWCheck program performs mailbox database maintenance. If the GWCheck program is available to you, you can perform database maintenance on your Caching, and archive mailboxes. The GWCheck program is typically installed in the following directory:

Mac: /Applications/GroupWise.app/Contents/Resources/gwcheck

Linux: /opt/novell/groupwise/gwcheck

By default, GWCheck is installed with the client when using the GroupWise installation program. If you installed the Linux client manually from the RPM, you must install GWCheck manually.
