Before the GroupWise 7 Gateway for Lotus Notes, the Notes Gateway and the MTA communicated by transferring message files through message queue directories using a mapped/UNC link. Starting with the GroupWise 7 version of the gateway, you can configure the gateway so that it uses a TCP/IP link to communicate with the MTA, instead of transferring message files through queue directories. During installation, the Notes Gateway is configured for a mapped/UNC link. You can reconfigure it to use a TCP/IP link in ConsoleOne.
In ConsoleOne, right-click the Notes Gateway object, then click
.Click
.In the
field, click , specify the IP address or DNS hostname of the server where the Notes Gateway is running (which is not necessarily the server where the Notes Gateway software is installed), then click to return to the Network Address page.In the
field, specify a unique port number; for example, 7104.Click
to save the new link configuration for the Notes Gateway.ConsoleOne then notifies the Notes Gateway and the MTA to restart using the new link protocol.
