iFolder uses Apache as its default Web server for NetWare, Linux, and Solaris server operating systems. Windows NT 4 and 2000 use the IIS Web server.
When iFolder is active, it runs in the protected address space on the server, with its own instance of Apache. Because iFolder requires some configuration changes to Apache-specific files, we recommend that you install iFolder on a server that does not have other applications that rely on Apache. If you do have other applications that use Apache, when you install iFolder, these applications might not work.
