3.5 Configuring the Server GUI for Access by Multiple Workstations

Accessing and running the Server GUI screens from the Console Screens link in Novell Remote Manager from more than one workstation requires you to configure the server GUI environment. The default configuration allows access from at least one workstation at a time.

To configure the Server GUI console for access through the Novell Remote Manager for more than one workstation:

  1. At the GUI screen on the server console, click Novell > Settings > GUI Environment.

  2. At the XSetup screen, click Advanced.

  3. Select the Enable Remote GUI Session Access check box.

  4. (Optional) Move the Maximum Simultaneous Viewers slider to a number greater than one.

    NOTE:You need to do this only if you want more than one workstation to access this screen at the same time.

  5. Click Apply, then click OK.

  6. Click OK to restart the GUI.
