Using Novell Remote Manager, you can run a security report that shows general and specific security information about your server, helping you track the following security information:
Trustee information for the root of each mounted volume
Trustee information for common folders on volume sys:
Security information for each protocol loaded on the server
For example, for the IP protocol, you will see the IP addresses for the server, the DNS name, and a list of open ports on the server and NLM programs that use those ports.
For NetWare Core Protocol (NCP) information, you will see the protocols bound to the server and the addresses they use as well as connection information for each connection to the server.
A list of users that have security equivalence to user Admin
A list of users and a list of several parameters related to security that you might want to track (such as password required, unique password, minimum length, expiration information and grace login limit and remaining settings)
For more information about the report and how to run it, see Security Report
in the NW 6.5 SP8: Novell Remote Manager Administration Guide.
