Linux User Management is selected and installed automatically when you install NCP Server and Dynamic Storage Technology. LUM is required if you use Novell Samba or supported native Linux file access protocols with DST shadow volume pairs. The eDirectory users and the native Linux service must both be LUM-enabled in order to see a merged view of files in a DST shadow volume pair, and an instance of ShadowFS must be running. For information about how to configure users and services for LUM, see the OES 2015 SP1: Linux User Management Administration Guide.
