When installing Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES), if you choose iPrint, you can skip the instructions in this section and proceed to Setting Up iPrint, because the iPrint software components are automatically installed on the server during OES installation. The Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS) software is also installed. However, even though the CUPS software is installed, it is disabled to avoid port 631 conflicts.
In order to disable iPrint services, you need to disable the Print Manager and the Driver Store. For more information on disabling iPrint services, see “Disabling OES 2018 SP3 Services” in the OES 2018 SP3: Installation Guide.
