With NetWare Server Consolidation Utility version 1.0, you could copy entire volumes and specific directories between NetWare 4, NetWare 5, and NetWare 6 servers in the same eDirectory^TM tree.

With version 2.0, you could, for the first time, perform these same functions between different eDirectory trees, as well as consolidate to NetWare 6.5, the latest and most powerful version of NetWare. Version 2.0 also

• Copies data from NT* 4.0 Domains to NetWare
• Schedules projects and runs them completely unattended
• Filters the files you want to copy based on date
• Adds users to Directory Services on the destination Tree if they don't already exist
• Copies data to the Novell Nterprise^TM Branch Office^TM Appliance

With version 2.5, you can do all of that and more. New features in version 2.5 let you:

• Exclude specific file types or filenames from the copy process

  For example, copy all of the data from a volume except for any .mp3 files.

• Automatically compare file information between the source and destination after the copy process completes

  This includes the option of doing a detailed binary (byte-by-byte) comparison.

• Check for sufficient disk space on the destination server before beginning the file copy
• Disable login on the source server during the copy process
• Specify a default server and home directory path for any new users you create on the destination server
• Copy an expanded list of user attributes when creating users

In each case, the accompanying rights, trustees, ownership, and name space information are copied along with the files to the destination server. The utility also copies many user attributes from one tree to another.
