If your Vibe site is fronted by Novell Access Manager and you are using applications that are based on Web Services, you need to configure Novell Access Manager to allow Web Services applications to access the Vibe site.
Examples of applications that are based on Web Services are:
GroupWise client
The GroupWise client must access Vibe through Web Services when the GroupWise/Vibe integration is configured, as described in Configuring GroupWise for Use with Novell Vibe OnPrem
in the GroupWise 8 Interoperability Guide.
Vibe OnPrem Connector for Data Synchronizer

You can also write and deploy custom Web Service applications, as described in the Novell Vibe OnPrem 3.1 Developer Guide.
To allow Web Services applications to access the Vibe site through Novell Access Manager:
