This is a short introduction to Ximian® Desktop 2 which will demonstrate the tools and resources available to you, whether you are an experienced Linux/UNIX desktop software user or are new to the operating system.
It is not a complete guide to everything, but it demonstrates some of the capabilities of the desktop and points out what's new in this version. It can also help you find additional instruction manuals or get support for your software.

When a single pathname can be written with a backslash for some platforms or a forward slash for other platforms, the pathname is presented with a backslash. Users of platforms that require a forward slash, such as UNIX*, should use forward slashes as required by your software.
