The E-mail Notification panel lets you send error messages through an e-mail. Ensure that you have configured the SMTP Server Settings on the
panel of the Configuration page.The message body is predefined and is sent in the following format:
You can configure the following options:
Allows you to select the message severity to send the log messages through e-mail.
The severity of the messages include:
Error: Stores messages with a severity of Error.
Warning and Above: Stores messages with a severity of Warning and Error.
Information and Above: Stores messages with a severity of Information, Warning, and Error.
Specify the sender's e-mail address.
Specify the e-mail address of the recipients. You can specify more than one e-mail address by separating them with commas.
Specify the subject to be included while sending the e-mail from the Primary Server. You can customize the subject field with macro values given in Table 9-1. The following table describes various macros and their respective values:
For example, if you want the subject line to display as “ERROR occurred on device Testifies at 4/1/07 5:31:01 PM”, then specify “%s occurred on device %a at %t” in the field.
