1.8 Administration Browser Requirements

Make sure the workstation or server where you run ZENworks Control Center to administer your system meets the following requirements:

The administration device must have one of the following Web browsers installed:

  • Internet Explorer 7 on Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2008

  • Internet Explorer 8 on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2

  • Internet Explorer 9 on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2

  • Firefox version 3.0.10 or the later patches of version 3.0 on Windows and Linux devices

  • Firefox version 3.5 or the later patches of version 3.5 Windows and Linux devices

  • Firefox version 3.6.6 or the later patches of version 3.6 Windows and Linux devices

  • Firefox version 5.0 or the later patches of version 5.0 Windows and Linux devices

  • Firefox version 6.0 or the later patches of version 6.0 Windows and Linux devices

  • Firefox version 7.0 or the later patches of version 7.0 Windows and Linux devices

JRE 5.0

In order to run Image Explorer, version 1.5 of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) must be installed and running on the administration device.

TCP Ports

In order to fulfill a user’s request for a remote session on a managed device, you must open port 5550 on the management console device in order to run Remote Management Listener.
