Severity:  Critical

Possible Cause:  The Inventory Service object in NDS is invalid.

Explanation:  The installation program creates the Inventory Service object and copies the Inventory server components on the server. The attributes for the Inventory Service object define the settings for scanning inventory. Also, the roles of the server are specified during installation. These settings are stored in NDS.

Action:  Choose the DN of an existing Inventory Service object. If the problem persists, reinstall the Workstation Inventory component.
