You can view the results of the discovery activities performed on your device when it acts as a Windows Proxy for the ZENworks Primary Server. Your device can act as a Windows Proxy for:
Linux Primary Servers that cannot perform discovery tasks by using Windows-specific technologies such as WMI, WinAPI, and SNMP
Windows Primary Servers if the devices to be discovered are in a different subnet than the Primary Server
To view the discovery results:
Right-click the ZENworks icon in the notification area.
Click Technician Application.
In the left navigation pane, click Discovery.
The Discovery Results panel displays the following details:

Discovery Task |
Displays the discovery task name created by the ZENworks Administrator. |
Discovery Target |
Displays the target device’s hostname or IP address. |
Discovery Technologies |
Displays the name and status of each discovery technology (WMI, WinAPI, SNMP) used for the discovery process. For more information on each discovery technology, see the ZENworks Discovery, Deployment, and Retirement Reference on ZENworks Documentation website. |
Last Time Stamp |
Displays the date and time when the discovery task was run. |
(Optional) To remove all the discovery results from the Discovery Results panel, click Clear Discovery Results, then refresh the page.
