Advertised Discovery Interval

The Advertised Discovery Interval panel lets you specify how often you want your ZENworks system to attempt to discover devices on your network that have the ZENworks pre-agent installed. The pre-agent will only be installed on OEM devices or on devices whose registration was removed from the Management Zone. Only those devices with the pre-agent installed respond to an advertised discovery; devices that have the full ZENworks Agent do not respond to an advertised discovery.

Allow the System to Check for Advertised Devices

Select this option to enable advertised discoveries of devices that have the pre-agent installed. All ZENworks Servers perform the discovery. When a pre-agent picks up a discovery request, it responds to the ZENworks Server that initiated the request.
