Component Search

Use the Component Search panel to use filters to search for inventoried components. Search results are shown in a list with the following details:

Machine Name: The name of the machine.
Manufacturer: The manufacturer of the product.
Product: The name of the product.
Version: The product version.
Category: The product category.
Subcategory: The product subcategory.

Click a product to open the Component Details page, where you can edit the product name, asset tag, serial number, and component administrator-defined field values, if any are defined.

Available Tasks

You can perform the following tasks:

Task	Steps	Additional Details
Add a filter and search	Click Add Filter. Select whether to combine filters using And or Or. Select Not in the first field or leave it blank. Select the filter criteria. Repeat to create additional filters. Click Search.	If you select to combine filters using And, filter sets are combined using Or, and vice versa.
Add a filter set and search	Click Add Filter Set. Select Not in the first field or leave it blank. Select the filter criteria. Repeat to create additional filter sets. Click Search.
Insert a filter above or below an existing filter and search	Select an existing filter. Click Insert Filter > Above Filter or Insert Filter > Below Filter as desired. Select the filter criteria. Click Search.
Delete a filter	Select a filter. Click Delete. Click OK.
