Edit the device data so that it includes only the data you want used to define the device in the security policy. For information to help you determine which device data to use, see Section 7.1, Best Practice.

Save the device data to a scan file.

You can save all device data to the scan file. Or, if you are importing data to a Storage Device Control policy, you can save only the Removable Drives list. Likewise, if you are importing data to a USB Connectivity policy, you can save only the USB Devices list. For instructions, see Section 5.1, Saving Data to a Scan File.
