If you are experiencing problems with correct character display in Novell iManager, you should verify that your browser's language and character set encoding are configured properly.
To enable Novell iManager to display information in the language you expect, you need to:
Click Edit Preferences to display the Preferences dialog box.
Click Navigator > Languages > Add.
Add your language to the list > make your language the first language in the list.
Click OK to save the changes > close your browser.
Open your browser and log in to Novell iManager.
Click Tools > Internet Options to display the Internet Options dialog box.
On the General page, click Languages.
Add your language to the list > make your language the first language in the list.
Click OK to save the changes > close your browser.
Open your browser and log in to Novell iManager.
When your browser receives encoded Novell iManager information, it uses the currently selected character set encoding to display the information. For this reason, you need to make sure that you've selected the correct character set encoding for your browser's language.
Click View > Character Coding (Character Set in 4.6 and 4.7 browsers) to display the Encoding submenu.
Click the appropriate character set encoding for your language.
IMPORTANT: On Windows workstations, Novell iManager uses Windows encoding to display characters. On other platforms, Novell iManager uses ISO encoding. If both encoding types are displayed, choose the encoding (Windows or ISO) that is appropriate for your platform.
Click View > Encoding to display the Encoding submenu.
Click the appropriate character-set encoding for your language.
