Before you can install the GroupWise® API Gateway, GroupWise 5.x must be installed and functioning, with domain(s) and post office(s) defined.
The GroupWise API Gateway is contained in a self-extracting file named APINLM.EXE. You need to extract the needed files and copy them to a temporary directory on the server where the Gateway API will be loaded.
From your Internet browser, enter the following URL:
http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/download?/pub/updates/gateways/gw41apin/apinlm.exe&sr
Select the global FTP site to connect with, and download this file to a temporary directory.
NOTE: If the link is busy, try another link.
Go to a DOS prompt and type path\apinlm.exe
This will extract the gateway files. Create a temporary directory on the file server that will be loading the GroupWise API Gateway (for example, sys:\apigw.ins), then copy all extracted files to this location.
