Configuring Interested-Party Notification

The following procedure allows you to specify the users who will receive event notification for a Novell® Distributed Print ServicesTM (NDPSTM) Printer object, the method of notification, and the types of events they will receive notification for.

  1. In NetWare® Administrator, select the Printer you want to configure.

    The NDPS Printer Details window appears.

  2. Click the Access Control button.

    The Printer Access Control dialog appears.

    Three roles are available: Manager, Operator, and User.

  3. Select the role you want to configure Access Control notification for.

    A current list of objects assigned to this role is then listed.

  4. Highlight the object you want to configure notification for and click Notification.

    The Notification dialog appears, displaying an icon for each notification method currently loaded.

  5. Click the icon representing the method you want to use.

  6. Mark the notification methods and events you want.
