The following procedure explains how to add banner pages, printer drivers, and printer definition (NPD) files to the resource database available through a Broker's Resource Management Service.
NOTE: Resources cannot be installed from multiple diskettes. If a printer driver or other resource is shipped on more than one diskette, copy the files to a directory on a hard disk or network drive and install it from there.
To add new resources through the Resource Management Service, do the following.
Make sure the Resource Management Service is enabled either in NetWare® Administrator or by going to your server console and viewing the Broker status screen.
In NetWare Administrator, select the Broker you want to work with.
The Broker Identification page appears.
Select the Resource Management view.
The Resource Service dialog appears.
Click the Add Resources button.
The Manage Resources dialog appears.
Select the icon for the type of resource you want to add.
A complete list of currently loaded resources of that type appears in the Current Resources window. Discussions of each type of resource that can be added here (banners, NPD files, and printer drivers) appears at the end of this list. For more information, see the following:
Click the Add button.
The Add Resource Type dialog appears. The listed resources that appear on this screen are currently installed.
Press the Browse button to locate the resource you want to add to the list.
