The following scenarios require you to create a new CD image in order to install or upgrade Novell® Cluster ServicesTM:
The CD image provides all the fixes in the installation, which are otherwise present only if you run the cluster installation from the NetWare 6 CD via Deployment Manager.
The CD image prevents you from having to do a two-step NetWare 5.1 to NetWare 6 Support Pack 1 upgrade.
Complete the following steps to create a new CD image that will fix the problems described in the above scenarios.
Copy the NetWare 6 CD image to a directory on a server.
Copy the CLUSTER.ZIP file from the NI\ZIP directory at the root of the NetWare 6 Support Pack 1 image to the NI\ZIP directory at the root of the NetWare 6 CD image on your server.
Copy the PRODUCTS\NCS directory from the root of the NetWare 6 Support Pack 1 image over the PRODUCTS\NCS directory at the root of the NetWare 6 CD image on your server.
Run the Cluster Services installation via NWDEPLOY.EXE (Deployment Manager) from the new image you just created.
NWDEPLOY might be unable to authenticate to a new node when you attempt to add that node to an existing cluster. This problem occurs more frequently when either SLP or DNS isn't configured properly on servers or clients.
