The utilities included in this release of the Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit support the source and destination server configurations listed below. These minimum server versions, and all newer versions, have been tested and are supported by Novell. Older server versions might work, but they have not been tested with this release of the toolkit. Novell recommends that all servers be updated to the latest Support Pack before attempting a consolidation or migration.
Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit does not support eDirectory 8.8. If you want to upgrade to eDirectory 8.8, perform migration or consolidation first, then upgrade the newly-migrated servers to eDirectory 8.8.
The following NetWare and Windows configurations have been tested as source and destination servers with Server Consolidation Utility 4.2.
Table 1-1 Supported Source Server Versions for Server Consolidation Utility 4.2
IMPORTANT:Full support for Windows 2000/2003 Server Active Directory migrations is not available in the toolkit. The toolkit uses the Mixed Mode domain levels to access an Active Directory domain as if it were a flat NT domain. You will not be able to access certain aspects of Active Directory, such as trust relationships.
The following NetWare configurations have been tested as source and destination servers with NetWare Migration Wizard 8.2.

Minimum Supported (Tested) OS Version |
Other Requirements |
---|---|
NetWare SP1 or later (NetWare 6.5 SP4 or later) Minimum DS: eDirectory 8.7.x or 8.8 SP2 |
NOTE:If you want to migrate NetWare servers running eDirectory 8.8 SP2, you must update both source and destination servers to NetWare 6.5 SP7 or later. Otherwise, the destination server fails to reboot after the third step of the migration.
