You can override settings provided in the GroupWise Administration Console by using startup switches in the MTA startup file. The default location for the MTA startup file is in the domain folder.
When you create a domain and install the MTA, an initial MTA startup file is created. It is named using the first 8 characters of the domain name with a .mta extension. This initial startup file includes the ‑‑home startup switch set to the location of the domain folder.
Startup switches specified on the command line override those in the startup file. Startup switches in the startup file override corresponding settings in the GroupWise Administration Console. You can view the MTA startup file from the Configuration page of the MTA console.
