These sections explain the other options and behaviors when working with folders.
To create a new folder:
Right-click in the Folder List
Select New Folder
Type a name for New Folder
If you create a folder and then decide you want it in a different position, drag the folder to a new position in the Folder List.
To create a specific folder:
In the Folder List, click File > New > Folder.
Select the folder type from the list of options, and then click Next.
Type the name and description for the new folder.
Click Up, Down, Right, or Left to position the folder where you want it in the Folder List, and then click Next.
Specify the display settings for the folder, and then click Finish.
To move a folder, drag and drop the folder to the desired location in your folder structure.

To rename a folder:
In the Folder List, right-click the folder, and then click Rename.
Type a new name for the folder.
You cannot rename the Calendar, Documents, Mailbox, Sent Items, Tasklist, Contacts, Cabinet, Work In Progress, or Trash folders.
You can add a folder color to help your organize your mailbox.
Click on the folder icon next to the folder you want to give a color.
Select a color for your folder from the list or select a custom color.
Your folder icon updates with the color you have chosen .
To delete a folder:
Right-click the folder you want to delete, and then click Delete.
Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
You cannot delete the Calendar, Documents, Mailbox, Sent Items, Tasklist, Contacts, Cabinet, Work In Progress, or Trash folders. You can delete the Junk Mail folder only if Junk Mail Handling has been disabled.
To delete a folder that is shared with you, right-click the folder, click Delete, and then click Yes.
You can delete multiple folders contained within another folder.
Open the folder containing the subfolders.
In the item list, select the subfolders you want to delete.
Right-click the selected folders, and then click Delete.
Select whether to delete only the items contained in the folders, or whether to delete the items and the folders, and then click OK.
You can protect items in folders so that they are not removed when automatic cleanup or automatic archiving occurs. This option must be enabled by your GroupWise administrator before you can protect folders and items. When you protect a folder, a small shield icon is displayed on the bottom right of the folder icon. Items do not display any notification that the are protected. If you move an item out of a protected folder, you are not prompted to enable protection on the item unless you are moving the item while in the search view.
To protect a folder:
Right-click a folder, and then click Properties.
On the General tab, select Protect items in this folder from auto cleanup.
Click OK.
To protect an item:
Right-click an item.
Click Protect From Auto Cleanup.
