Before you distribute the GroupWise Windows client software, the following files must be distributed to GroupWise users’ workstations:
dotnetfx.exe (if .NET 2.0 or later is not already installed on workstations)
wse3.msi
msxml.msi
To prepare workstations for installation of the GroupWise Windows client:
Create a NAL Application object for each file that you need to distribute:
In ConsoleOne, right-click the container where you want to create the NAL Application object, then click
.(Conditional) When you are creating the object for dotnetfx.exe, select , then click .
or
(Conditional) When you are creating the object for a .msi file, select .
Click
.Specify the path to the file, then click
.Specify the name for the NAL Application object, such as DOTNETFX, WSE3, MSXML, or GroupWise Windows Client, then click .
Finish creating each NAL Application object as usual.
Repeat Step 1 for each file that you need to distribute.
(Conditional) When you are installing dotnetfx.exe:
Right-click the DOTNETFX NAL Application object that you created in Step 1.b, then click .
Click the
tab, then click .In the
field, specify:/q:a /c:"install /q"
Click
.Select
for each NAL Application object.Assign each NAL Application object to the appropriate GroupWise users.
Create a schedule for each NAL Application object so that the applications are installed in the following order:
dotnetfx.exe
wse3.msi
msxml.msi
groupwise.msi
