Use Check In to check in documents you have checked out. After you check in a document, the document is unlocked in the library and other users can modify it.
You can check in individual documents, or you can check in multiple documents. The documents you check in can be in any location.
If one or more checked-out documents are selected when you click
, GroupWise displays the selected documents in the list box. If no checked-out documents are selected, GroupWise displays a warning and then displays all the documents you have checked out in the list. There are four check-in methods:
Check-In Method |
What It Does |
---|---|
Check In and Move |
Moves the document to the library and deletes it from the check-out location. For more information, see Section 15.10.3, Checking In a Document and Deleting It from the Check-Out Location. |
Check In and Copy |
Copies the document back to the library and leaves a copy in the check-out location. For more information, see Section 15.10.1, Checking In a Document and Leaving a Copy in the Check-Out Location. |
Check In Only |
Checks in the document but does not update the document in the library with any changes you made to the checked-out version. For more information, see Section 15.10.2, Checking In an Unchanged Document. |
Update Without Checking In |
Updates the document in the library with any changes you have made, but does not unlock the document. For more information, see Section 15.8.4, Updating a Checked-Out Document without Checking It In. |
When you check in a document, you can specify which version you want the document checked in as. There are three possible versions:
Version to Check In |
What It Does |

Checked-Out Version |
Updates the version of the document that you are checking in. |
New Version |

New Document |
