You can configure an NFS location on a remote Linux server as the Filr data storage location. This is the location (/vastorage) where information specific to the appliance is stored and is used when the appliance is upgraded.
IMPORTANT:Filr does not support remote NFS in the following environments:
With Novell Storage Services (NSS)
On Windows
To configure remote NFS on a Linux server:
On the Linux server where you want to configure remote NFS to work with Filr, launch YaST2.
In the section, click .
The NFS Server Configuration dialog box is displayed.

In the field, specify the directory that you want to create, then click .
For example,
Click to confirm creating the directory.
In the field, specify the host name for the Filr appliance.
For example, filr1.novell.com.
If you have a clustered Filr system with multiple Filr appliances, you will repeat this process for each Filr appliance in the cluster.
In the field, change ro to rw (read-only to read-write), then change root_squash to no_root_squash.
