You can use the following startup options from a command prompt when starting Novell Messenger:

Specifies the IP address to log in with. XXX is the IP address. |

Specifies the IP port to log in with. XXX is the IP port. |
/import-filename |
Imports a specific contacts list. filename is the .nmx file. |
/multi |
Starts multiple instances of the Novell Messenger client. NOTE:If you are using the /multi startup option in conjunction with any URL startup option, the URL startup option might not work as expected. |
The following options can be used both from a command prompt and in a browser window.
NOTE:When using the URL startup options in this section from a command prompt, you must enclose the option in quotation marks. For example:

Imports the contacts in the .nmx file filename. |

Closes the Novell Messenger main window but does not exit Novell Messenger. |
