This administration guide is intended to help you understand and configure all the Access Gateway features. The Access Gateway Appliance and the Access Gateway Service share most of the same configuration features; however, there are a few differences. When a feature applies to only one, the feature is marked with either (Access Gateway Appliance) or (Access Gateway Service). For a list of known differences, see Access Gateway Feature Comparison

Before proceeding, you should be familiar with the Novell Access Manager 3.1 SP2 Installation Guide and the Novell Access Manager 3.1 SP2 Setup Guide, which provide information about setting up the Access Manager system.
This guide is intended for Access Manager administrators. It is assumed that you have knowledge of evolving Internet protocols, such as:
