20.3 Post-Installation

20.3.1 TightVNC Desktop Download for Linux

  1. Log in to the NOWS SBE console.

  2. Click Products and Services.

  3. Under Select Components, click Remote Desktop (TightVNC).

  4. Under Desktop Downloads, select TightVNC for Linux.

  5. Click Save to Disk, then click OK.

  6. On your desktop, right-click the tightvnc-server-1.2.9-1.i386.rpm file, then click Extract Here.

  7. To complete the download, open a terminal and run rpm-Uvh-tightvnc-server

20.3.2 TightVNC Desktop Download for Windows

  1. Log in to the NOWS SBE console.

  2. Click Products and Services.

  3. Under Select Components, click Remote Desktop (TightVNC).

  4. Under Desktop Downloads, select TightVNC for Windows.

  5. Click Save to Disk, then click OK.

  6. On your desktop, right-click the tightvnc-1.2.9-setup.exe file, then click Extract Here.

  7. To complete the download, double-click the tightvnc-1.2.9-setup.exe file on your desktop.

20.3.3 TightVNC Desktop Download for MAC OS X

  1. Log in to the NOWS SBE console.

  2. Click Products and Services.

  3. Under Select Components, click Remote Desktop (TightVNC).

  4. Under Desktop Downloads, select VNC for MAC OS X.

  5. Click Save File.

  6. To complete the download, double-click the OSXvnc1.71.dmd file on your desktop.

20.3.4 TightVNC Desktop Download for the Putty SSH Client for Windows

  1. Log in to the NOWS SBE console.

  2. Click Products and Services.

  3. Under Select Components, click Remote Desktop (TightVNC).

  4. Under Desktop Downloads, select Putty SSH Client for Windows.

  5. Click Save File.

  6. To complete the download, double-click the putty.exe file on your desktop.
