9.2 Using Skype From within Teaming

Novell Teaming enables you to communicate with other Teaming users through Skype, without needing to leave the Teaming interface.

This feature must first be configured by your Teaming administrator before you can use Skype from within Teaming. If you cannot perform the tasks in this section as described, consult your Teaming administrator. For information on how to enable Skype in your Teaming environment, see Integrating Skype with Teaming in the Novell Teaming 2.1 Administration Guide.

9.2.1 Setting Up Your Skype Address in Teaming

After Skype has been configured by your Teaming administrator, you must specify your Skype name in your personal profile.

  1. In the home page of your personal workspace, click the Profile tab.

  2. Click Modify Profile in the Workspace toolbar.

    The User page is launched.

  3. In the Skype Name field, specify your Skype username.

  4. Click OK.

9.2.2 Contacting Other Teaming Users with Skype

You can use Skype to contact only those users who have specified their Skype name in their personal profile. For information on how to modify your personal profile, see Section 9.2.1, Setting Up Your Skype Address in Teaming.

To contact a Teaming user by using Skype:

  1. Click the Presence icon of the user whom you want to call using Skype.

  2. Click Call Using Skype.

    The Skype application is launched.
