This tool lets you search and replace text strings in an Application object's general settings, registry settings, INI settings, copy files settings, Icon settings, and text file settings. As settings are found that match your search criteria, you are given the choice of whether or not to replace the text string.
In ConsoleOne, select the Application object.
Click the Tools menu > Application Launcher Tools > Search and Replace.
In the Search For box, type the text string you are searching for.
In the Replace With box, type the text string you want to use in place of the text string you are searching for.
Check the Match Case box to require the search results to match the case (uppercase and lowercase) of the text string you entered in the Search For box.
If you want to limit the Application object settings that are searched, click Options > deselect any settings you don't want searched > click OK to return to the Search and Replace dialog box.
To start the search, click Find Next.
The dialog box expands to display the search results. If a setting is found that matches the search criteria, the setting's text is displayed in the Text Found box.
To replace the setting's text with the text listed in the Replace With box, click Replace.
or
To replace the text for all settings that match the criteria, click Replace All.
or
To skip replacing the setting's text, click Find Next.
Repeat Step 8 until all settings have been searched.
