B.0 Troubleshooting

The following section explains the scenarios that you might encounter when using ZENworks Handheld Management:

Unable to uninstall the handheld client from a device

Explanation: Some of the handheld devices support the removal of the handheld client from the device. For example, you can choose to uninstall the client for Windows CE device by using the device’s Remove Programs dialog box.

It might be possible that a device might not support the removal of the handheld client or the remove programs feature of the device is unable to uninstall the handheld client.

Action: To manually uninstall the handheld client from a device, perform the following steps:

  1. Delete the following registry entries:

    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apps\Novell ZENworks Client 7.x.x.x

    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ZENworks for Handhelds

  2. Delete the \Program Files\ZENworks for Handhelds folder.
