| Novell Identity Manager 4.0.1 is a comprehensive identity management suite. It
provides an intelligent identity framework that leverages your existing IT
assets and new computing models like Software as a Service (SaaS) by reducing
cost and ensuring compliance across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
With Novell Identity Manager solutions, you can make sure that your business
has the most current user identity information. You can retain control at the
enterprise level by managing, provisioning, and deprovisioning identities
within the firewall and extending to the cloud. Through streamlined user
administration and processes, Identity Manager helps organizations reduce
management costs, increase productivity and security, and comply with
government regulations.
To meet diverse customer requirements, Identity Manager 4.0.1 is available in two editions: Identity Manager Advanced Edition and Standard Edition. Identity Manager features that are available in the Identity Manager Standard Edition are also included in the Identity Manager Advanced Edition, along with additional features. Identity Manager Advanced Edition features are also included in the Compliance Management Platform along with additional tools. The Novell Compliance Management Platform delivers business process automation that provides users with the appropriate resources, validated in real-time to ensure compliance to company policy. Identity Manager includes integration modules for several common customer systems, such as Novell eDirectory, Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP v3 Directories, Novell GroupWise, and Lotus Notes.
