If your network includes clients like Macintosh* and OS/2* that are not able to send jobs to Printer Agents directly, the backward compatibility of Novell® Distributed Print ServicesTM (NDPSTM ) allows these clients to submit jobs to the same queues they always have. Then the Printer Agent can retrieve jobs from these queues and print them. If you want a printer to service legacy queues, here's how to set it up.
In NetWare® Administrator, select the NDPS printer you want to work with.
The Printer Details page appears.
Select Jobs from the Printer Control view.
Click Spooling Configuration.
Under Service Jobs from NetWare Queues, click the Add button.
A browser window appears.
Select the queue(s) you want this printer to service and click OK.
Click OK again at the Spooling Configuration dialog.
The following sections describe other important workstation management features of NDPS.
